Since Hotmail official application on Android can manage the new accounts Outlook.com , but not everyone likes this application. Now the question is how to set up an account in Outlook Email series application???? as your doubt can have more than one user and we are going to provide here the steps to follow to configure the new account Android Microsoft.
Steps to setting up an Outlook account on Android :
As mail service Outlook is still new Mail application that comes standard on many Android devices does not automatically recognize the type of accounts you have to manually configure the account. To do this we have two options, such as Exchange account or POP3 account.
If the application of our device Android Mail accounts supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account can configure Outlook.com from that option to receive push notifications. To do this we need to put this information on the Exchange option:
Outlook.com Settings :
- Domain \ Username: Enter your name in nkhandwe@outlook.com
- Password: sample password
- Server: m.hotmail.com
- Use secure connection ( SSL :( On
- Accept all certificates SSL : Off
After entering the data and pass to set up synchronization, selecting that check for new mail automatically (push notifications), synchronization of calendar and contacts from Outlook account with our device, etc …
If your device does not have support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync accounts set up our own touch us Outlook.com as account POP3 . So we must put our username, password and give next or manual configuration, select POP3 and enter these data:
Outlook.com Settings (POP3) :
- Username: Enter your name in nkhandwe@outlook.com
- Password: sample password
- POP3 server: pop3.live.com
- Port: 995
- Security type: SSL / TLS (accept all certif.) or SSL (accept all certif.)
- Server SMTP : smtp.live.com
- Port: 587
- Type safety: None
- Login Request: Off
If we are removed from the server the emails that we deleted from the Android application we have to tell in the “Delete mail from server” be deleted and we really have to open the Outlook.com Web and go to Settings> Manage Your Account> POP and disposal of messages downloaded and select “Make it to indicate the other program: if you indicate that deleting the messages, delete them.”
After entering this information we just need to finish setting up the account by adjusting the timing, notifications and how often we want to check for new mail. With the POP3 option will not have real-time notification .Thanks for reading If you find any problem pass it down either in comment box or through Facebook.
